Bathsheba is located on the Eastern coastline of Barbados. It is said that this area was named after the wife of King David whose name was “Bathsheba”. Legend has it that she bathed in milk to keep her skin beautiful and soft, and the rolling surf waters of Bathsheba’s “Soup Bowl” resembled Bathsheba’s bath. The area is popular with surfers. Cherry Tree Hill
Cherry Tree Hill is eight hundred and fifty (850) ft above sea level and is a part of St. Nicholas Abbey plantation. Actually due to the size of the St. Nicholas Abbey property, Cherry Tree Hill actually borders, St.Peter and St. Andrew. Many years ago, the drive on either side to get to it was flanked by cherry trees, thus the reason for its name; however these were replaced with mahogany trees which now line the road. The trees were planted in celebration of the signing of The Treaty of Paris in 1763

An informative and picturesque trip

Good trip with knowledgeable driver. Good pace with ample time in each location as well as stops for photo opportunities.
Fun day out

Had a wonderful day driving around the island with our warm and charismatic host Charles. Had a good conversation about some of the history of the island too.
Fun and knowledgeable guide

We booked this tour quite last minute but it was an excellent choice. Our tour guide, Charles, was so friendly and knowledgable - an excellent tour guide. We never felt rushed, but we were also kept on schedule in a way that meant we knew we would see the sights we’d paid for. Charles had an amazing working knowledge of the island and was able to answer all our questions, even the weirder ones! Would highly recommend this tour
Beautiful Hunte’s garden and rum tasting at the Abbey
Sujit_D, 14-04-2022
Hunte’s garden was fabulous. The lush vegetation and colorful tropical flowers and foliage were outstanding as was meeting and rum tasting with Mr Hunte at the end.
Our visit to St Nicholas Abbey was pretty much self guided since not enough guides were available. The documentary movie shot almost a century back was very informative.
The tour operators “Beautiful Barbados Tours“ were very well organized and the drivers were very knowledgeable about the history of Barbados and the Caribbean.
Very disappointed in Hunte’s Garden; but St Nicholas Abbey is a saving grace
rajivmal57, 07-07-2022
At Nicholas Abbey house and distillery, the video and the rum tasting, although meager, were great. Hunte’s Garden is a disappointment with a jumble of unmarked trails meandering through a small garden with a hodge podge of flowers amid a swarm of mosquitos. Mr. Hunte himself although he invited us to his verandah , did not offer any drinks even non alcoholic as advertised. But the worst part of the tour was the guide, Narain, who does not speak a word until one asks him questions and then too mumbles very inadequate and cryptic responses. He is just a taxi driver not an informed guide.
