History with a (Rum) Punch

This was by far the best thing we did on our entire vacation. We toured St. Nicholas Abbey house & distillery (with a tasting) the train, Cherry Tree Hill, Bathsheba, and Mount Gay (with a tasting).

First of all, our tour guide - Charles, was amazing! He kept the entire van engaged and kept getting to know us. He really tried to get to know our names and had all of our names e memorized before the first stop! He was greatly informative and always got us to laugh. It was very clear he knows what he is doing, and he is very good at it. He gave us a lot of good information about the island, places to go, and things to try. He was extremely welcoming of us to Barbados. He was an excellent tour guide and ai would 100% recommend him.

We tasted rum at both St. Nicholas Abbey (1 type) and Mount Gay (4 types). The history at both was interesting! It was definitely well worth the money spent. If you are on the fence, you should just do it! It was great to see the entire island. Our lunch at the Sand Dunes was FANTASTIC! The flying fish was so good! Overall, it was definitely the highlight of our trip and would definitely recommend it to anyone, even if you don't plan on drinking much!
