The Cobblers Cove Hotel is a rejuvenated plantation house on the western Caribbean coast of Barbados Island. Thick tropical foliage surrounds the property on its coral boulder seafront, and sandy beaches are a short walk down the shore. The vibrant local stores, restaurants and entertainment venues of downtown Bridgetown are nine miles from Cobblers Cove.
The Cobbler's Cove Hotel lobby area makes a pleasant rendezvous, with overstuffed lounge chairs and a distinctly English décor. Complimentary high tea is served each day. A red-brick deck surrounds the kidney- shaped pool, ideal for peaceful lounging or sunbathing. Several activities are available off the beach, including water skiing, windsurfing, sailing and snorkeling. Independent operators offer parasailing.
The Cobblers Cove Hotel features an on-site television room with desktop computer and complimentary high-speed Internet connection. Two chattel houses contain fitness facilities, a gift shop and library. Personal massage and beauty specialists may be scheduled for in-room visitation. The Terrace Restaurant is an open-air venue serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and weekly dining events include barbecue buffets and local Caribbean "shake and scrape" music.
The Cobblers Cove Hotel's 40 guest suites feature elegant white and marble hues, wicker furnishings, Persian rugs and twin-sink marble vanities. Bedrooms are air-conditioned, or open windows can provide cooling breezes. The resort is geared for tranquil relaxation, so suites do not include televisions or CD players, but they are available upon request.
